:idonno: not going so well for me. Started my second square, got to the color change and then nothing but problems, lost my place and had to rip  , then got almost done and again it was kite shaped, so once again ripped it back to start again, only to lose my place again, so once again ripped back to the color change :tears: and stopped for the night as my hand was hurting and my brain was foggy :rainy: So much for trying to watch my almost 3 year old grandson play and knit too! Will try to finish tomorrow after I check out the CAL, that is what I'm good at.

So I finished my first square and its .5" to big. It is 10" by 10" Should I change needle size? Don't really want to knit a guage swatch, will it matter with an afghan or just make it bigger?

As long as you keep the same gauge for the rest of the clues it should all fit together, but it will be bigger. You may also end up needing to get more yarn since you'll be using more yarn for each clue with a larger gauge.

well I sort of cheated, I uploaded the badge even though I am only half done the first clue. I am so proud of me! Sticking with it, even when it was all being torn apart! I cannot believe I made it to the half point even with all the removing and redoing. I love hearing and seeing everyone's progress. It really helps knowing I am not that far behind than a few others out here!
Now is nearly decision time, do I continue working on clue 1 or switch to clue 2 so if I run into problems I can ask while everyone is doing it too? Not quite sure what I will do. Will know in a few hours
