You can try to slip stitch up if you prefer, and let us know how you think it looks!

Do you still want 12 inch tails at the end of the motif?

Ok, I am still realtively new to crocheting, so I want to make sure I read the clue correctly. Each square is done with just one color right? Some of the previous comments have me confused that it is a flower on a background. I did see where you fasten off and then come in at a certain point but it is with the same color yes? :helpme:

Sorry if I'm being obtuse.

Of course I worry about how to do this even though I have quite a few hours left to work before I can try the first square. Thank you for any assistance

So far, I don't mind it one bit. :) I do hate the idea of breaking it for these lovely Octagons. Ive never made one before, so these are cute!

OK, I made copies of the directions but have to quilt a quilt top first. Darned!! Would like to do one so I can see what it looks like!! Maybe tonight.... This is great! The suspence almost does me in all week and then it's here and I have another job to do first. Soooo unfair, but the lady needs her quilt! I'm off to the sewing room and quilting! ;)

Thank you so much, :notworthy:

just after I posted that I did re-read the tips and saw that it said "same color". I'll try to slow down my panic speed next time.

Yay, Clue 2 is here. :bravo: I can't wait until lunchtime to begin. I brought a couple of skeins of yarn to work with me so I didn't have to wait until I got home to get started.
Happy knitting and crocheting!!
