Ok, I am still realtively new to crocheting, so I want to make sure I read the clue correctly. Each square is done with just one color right? Some of the previous comments have me confused that it is a flower on a background. I did see where you fasten off and then come in at a certain point but it is with the same color yes?

Sorry if I'm being obtuse.

Of course I worry about how to do this even though I have quite a few hours left to work before I can try the first square. Thank you for any assistance

So far, I don't mind it one bit. I do hate the idea of breaking it for these lovely Octagons. Ive never made one before, so these are cute!

OK, I made copies of the directions but have to quilt a quilt top first. Darned!! Would like to do one so I can see what it looks like!! Maybe tonight.... This is great! The suspence almost does me in all week and then it's here and I have another job to do first. Soooo unfair, but the lady needs her quilt! I'm off to the sewing room and quilting!

just after I posted that I did re-read the tips and saw that it said "same color". I'll try to slow down my panic speed next time.

Yay, Clue 2 is here. I can't wait until lunchtime to begin. I brought a couple of skeins of yarn to work with me so I didn't have to wait until I got home to get started.
