Can't wait for the next step. Now I have to decide what my main color is going to be. Have fun everyone.

Didn't you use a MC on your last clue? 9 motifs should have been made using it and then 3 different coloured motifs.

Had to stop for lunch but here is the first one! It is a touch small but I think blocking will fix that. Just 5 more to go! Woot!!

The instructions said to use an H or an 8 mm hook for this clue.

I really like your colors, but as a beginning crocheter, this pattern is kicking my butt.

I wish the pattern would give you a stitch count at the end of every row, so I could see if I'm even close. might give up on the first one and switch colors to see if that helps. (who knows - different color, different perspective???) :?

i didn't take a pic of mine, but i got the first done a while ago. I LOVE the central flower, and how it pops-up 3-d if you let it. I'm not blocking so it looks lovely.

It calls for a size H or 8. An 8 hook is not 8mm. It's 5mm. H hook = 5mm. 8 hook = 5mm. Other countries besides the US use number for their hooks instead of letters like we do here. There are some great references online for hook conversions.

Gheesh - no wonder this whole crochet thing irritates me. :smashy: I think I'm going back to picking some big hook, grabbing some yarn, and doing straight stiches and making boring afghans. That, or anyone interested in a way too big yarn stash. :?: Grrrrr

Oh don't get frustrated! It takes awhile to get these little nuances down. I'd send a link to some conversion charts for you, but I've seen other "non-Bernat" links removed. I want to follow the rules. If you go to your search engine of choice and type in "crochet hook conversion charts" or something similar, a whole plethora of information with be at your finger tips. :D Don't give up! It will be worth it. We'll be here to help along the way as well.
