It isn't taking as much time as I thought it would, Ive got to do one more block for clue 2. I was going to do the CAL and print the KAL clues and do it after I finished the CAL. But I can't stand the wait! Im going to go get the yarn tomorrow after work and try to catch up! :knit: :knit: I love knitting!!

I totally understand!! I love knitting too! It's like I'm obsessed with it! And working with this Waverly yarn is like...heavenly! :cloud9: I've crocheted in the past, so I've been looking at the finished CAL pictures and I think they are SO pretty that I'll probably print out those patterns and do that afghan sometime! Happy knitting!! :knit:

Looks like I'm going to have to redo the 3 clue 1 squares I've done. They're 8.5" instead of 9.5", but I was just going to live with an afghan that's a little small. I've got about 6" on my first clue 2 square done, and it looks like it's going to be the 9.5" wide. So now I'll have to go back and redo at least half of the 1st ones (I'll just add on extra rows before the color change then redo the 2nd color). :x

well working on my 1st block with the new yarn...got 3 colors of the Waverly since my local craft store had it on clearance and 2 other colors in different yarn that was very close to same weight since I didn't like any of the other colors still available. I was having splitting issues with the other yarn I was using and after 5 tries still only had one turn out semi-right on the decrease side. This one looks good so far so we will see if it finishes ok :idonno:

YAY, my block came out square this time so guess I finally did it right!!! :cloud9:

Two squares, albeit one bigger than the other, are done. Not bad for learning how to knit 2 weeks ago. :knit:

Lol! Oh isnt it!! I've never worked with a yarn I like so much! The Cal squares are really pretty and work up fast. I was working on them yesterday while my mom was just getting a baby afghan started and she was watching me and said maybe I should rip this out and do what you are doing! So she is doing it with me, she only has 2 more to do for clue 1. ( She's fast)

Well I just got home with my yarn and I'm about to dive in to knitting, after I finish one more CAL clue two block!

Hi Everyone,

Not finished clue 1 squares yet - 3 to go - but took a break to work on clue 2 for something different than garter st. I hope to catch up on the rest of clue 1 this week.

Here's how my clue 1 squares turned out; I really like the colour combo - it's really rich and earthy.

Happy knitting! :knit:

Yarnfordeb, I love your bright colours!!!
I also noticed that you have a stopper at the end of your needle. This is smart. i carry my knitting around with me everywhere and I use circular needles because I like to just shove it in a bag and carry on. I have lost some stitches once or twice since I began though.
