And eat some yogurt too! Don't know which antibiotics they prescribed, some you cannot take with dairy products two hours before and after dose, but eat some yogurt when you can so they do not upset your tummy.
I have been blessed to never even have had a cavity, and will say that that is NOT due to any rigorous dental hygiene on my part. About 3 years ago I had terrible toothache, and to make long story short, I learned that as you age your gums pull away from your teeth creating little pockets that food can get trapped in. So if you don't floss your teeth now, you should try to make it a habit, it will actually slow down that pocket formation a little. After about a month of flossing and brushing well, I could really tell a difference with my gums.
Hope you feel better soon!
I have been eating yogurt. And chocolate pudding, and instant grits, and pimento cheese sandwiches, and spaghetti-o's, and ice cream, and egg salad sandwiches. I feel like a kid again!
But, I'm looking forward to getting this crazy tooth fixed, so I can eat grown up food.
I'm actually really good at dental hygiene. I use a Braun electric brush, and I'm a good flosser too.
The main problem with my teeth is from my childhood. I grew up with well water (no flouride), and I loved sweets. This caused me to have LOTS of cavities as a child.
In my 20's, I worked for a dentist office, and had free dental....so I replaced some of those deep amalgam fillings with crowns. Had some root canals too. But, I haven't worked for a dentist for quite some time now....no more free dental. I do have dental insurance though, but it still leaves quite a bit left for me to pay out of pocket.
My teeth are very sensitive, and I get cavities very easily. I think I have soft teeth or something. (My father lost all his teeth in his 20's.) Since I know how sensitive and weak my teeth are, I always brush my teeth every morning and night. I can't afford to go to bed without brushing. But, somehow, I still get occasional decay and problems.
