I really enjoy this thread!
I have one one legged, ancient canary, and five busy little finches, and I will add cuckoo clock with the birds!
I have six of my own dogs and am fostering another one. I have a standard, very old poodle, Pekingese, small poodle mix, border collie/ aussie mix, collie mix, and foster failure, I guess she is BC mix. I would like to do therapy work with her. I am also fostering a dog that has some issues, I guess he is BC mix. I actually foster for BC rescue. I esp. like working with puppies. This foster dog though, I just don't see the BC. Yes, he is black and white, but the disposition is just not the same as typical BCs. He is really coming around though, and is becoming nice companion.
I also have eight cats, they are characters too. Five of the cats are strictly indoors.
Almost all of my cats and dogs came from high kill shelters ( I drove all the way to KY from VA to adopt Bonnie, the BC/Aussie mix), or my local animal control where I used to volunteer, or rescues in my area.
I was fostering beautiful PB BC that had some medical issues for almost two years. She really was my best helping buddy, I spent so much time with her, and although I loved her dearly, I was so happy that she just found a new home of her own two weeks ago. I really do miss her though, and the dynamics with the others is changing now.
They keep me busy! I love them all. They are challenging as they all have some quirky ways or medical issues.
Except the cuckoo clock, all I have to remember to do is pull the chains daily.
Needless to say, I have to spend a while taking out and putting away my crochet things each time I use them.

Well, I'm allergic to all furry and feathered animals, and I can't see myself cuddling with a reptile. And I've had enough fish in my life. So, no pets to share. I can pull out some photos of pets I've had in the past, though! I'll look through some old photos, and post them soon.

Molly, the dog on the left, is my foster "failure". Today she passed her CGC test! That is a huge hurdle for her! I would like to do therapy work with her at our local library if she likes it. If she does not, she is still MY therapy dog. That is not to mean I own her, I mean she provides me personally with a lot of quiet comfort. She has one blue and one brown eye, and can see just fine. That is very common in both aussies and bcs.

On the right is my heart dog, Bonnie. I already posted a picture of her in the charity crochet forum modelling a dog sweater. She is BCxaussie mix and is just a lot of fun and very active, and also has her CGC. Bonnie is odd eyed too.

Molly is supposed to be BC mix too, but she would be just as happy sleeping all day. She is still sort of skiddish that is why it was such an achievement for her to pass her test today but loves to be petted. She came from high kill shelter in AL with another little puppy which was adopted into loving home.

Congrats to Molly and Bonnie! :bravo: Love their eyes! I didn't know that this is common in Aussies and BCs :D
Cool!

I love birds! I used to have finches. They were so cute, hopping around their big cage, and singing all the time. They laid tiny eggs in their nests, too! I used to try to save the eggs, to use for making necklaces, but decided I had enough crafts to work on already.

I became allergic to them after a few months, so I had to take them back to the pet store. I was so sad. :tears:
