Sure. I will try later ths afternooon, after I rest a while. My toothache has gotten worse, and I've been crying in bed for the past 3 hours.

Boy I can't believe the meds aren't helping at all Shandeh. :o Maybe you should call your dentist. You obviously can't go through the weekend like that.

Well, I think the infection must have come to a head yesterday and today. The pain was unbearable for a while. I was doubling the prescription, and taking two ibuprofen on top of it, and it was still throbbing. :tears:

But, this afternoon, I woke from a nap feeling a little better. So, I went and taught one piano lesson, then came back home to rest again. All the talking and giggling I did at the lesson brought back the pain, but my prescription was able to take care of it this time.

I only have a few more days to go. As long as I keep taking my antibiotics and pain medicine, I think I will be able to make it. I haven't had to use the ice pack today, so that's an improvement.

Thanks for checking on me!

I dropped a stitch, Once completed (back on the right) this should be a purl

I would recommend using a crochet hook, to walk the bars back up on the needle. You could try it on one side first (wrong side), then drop it again and try it on the right side. Just pick which one you like better. It might not be perfect, but it will be better than having a hole in that square.

Your other option would be to unravel a row or two, but I think the Shaker Rib stitch makes a complicated mess to put back on the needles if you unravel like that. There is also the option of using a smaller needle to run through stitches on a destination row, then unravelling back to that.

You should be able to find videos on YouTube to help with those options.

Just finished my second square. No problems doing the first one but I found myself having a few problems with the second including losing one of my needles in my chair. I wonder if it found the one I lost in my chair a couple years ago. Recliners seem to like to clam items and hide them well.

I hate when that happens!
Maybe you could get someone to help you flip the chair on its side, and the needle(s) would appear.

Thank you for the tip
I ended up crocheting the last of my CAL clue 2's and then picked up a dishcloth I am practicing knitting on and tried this stitch on it for a few rows then forced myself to take out some stitches and make it look like my KAL mistake and figured out how to fix it. Wish I had read your comment sooner though, I could have used the crochet hook, sitting beside me no less, to help pick through the stitch! What made it so easy in the end is my dish cloth is being made out of handicrafter cotton variegated rainbow so every row has different colours so I could SEE what needed fixing.
So my tip of the day, practice a problem stitch using variegated yarn of any kind!

PS: Glad you are on the mend! Not having to use an ice pack is a good thing!

here's my first finished block for this week, in Greek Sea. i love how soft and squishy this stitch makes the yarn feel. it will probably end up being one of the parts of the blanket that i touch a lot because it feels so nice!

Great knitting and what a beautiful color! :inlove:

Good going! I think that yarn crafters are very good at problem solving. We have issues, and we figure out how to correct them. :cooldude:

Grandsons are here for the weekend and they like to sit in the chair and rock away a little faster than I like but they rocked it loose and out of the chair. Now the one from a couple years ago is still in there somewhere. It's a double pointed 2.5mm so it most likely worked its way into some of the padding.

This just makes my day! Maybe the grandsons could have a go with a metal detector (unless it was a bambou needle!).
My son likes to hide his socks in the cracks of our couch, so we are often searching in it. He also loves the car keys and when they go missing we know exactly where to look first - the couch! We've got quite a Search method developped and sometimes have to go from the back side and have even had to turn it over!
