I also visited the place on how to achieve the right gauge and now I am using 4.5mm as this is the one I could achieve the best gauge with. Do the rows really matter as I am having a real problem getting the rows they call for lol.

In my experience, the rows are not as important as the stitches per inch.

Having issues with the gauge

Postby Marisol400 » Wed Feb 29, 2012 12:16 am

This is my first time posting on this forum and I am looking forward to starting this CAL.
I thought I'd do it right and do the first clue and make sure that my gauge is accurate. Started with a 5.0 hook, and the first piece measured 5 in x 5 in. So, then I moved down to a 4.5 hook, but my piece still measured 5 in x 5 in.

Any suggestions? Should I try 4.0 hook? or should I just leave it as is?

Thanks for the help, everyone.

Welcome! :hellogoodbye:
I would recommend using a smaller hook for Clue #1, because Clue #2 might need a larger hook. Several people have had problems getting Clue #2 large enough for the template. You might be able to use your 5.0 hook for #2.
