Well, I finished my Clue 2 squares. Now to go back to finish the Clue 1 squares (two left to do) before Wednesday.

For the record, I did one row of K1 P1 rib to start the Clue 2 squares and it took me 73 rows to get 8.5 inches. My Clue 1 squares came out to 8.5 inches, and I did not like the looks of them stretched to 9.5 inches, so I am going to do 8.5 inche squares. If future squares come out bigger, and I like them, then I will redo Clue 1 and add length to Clue 2 squares to make the afghan.
Knitting for others makes the world a better place.

Finished my CAL 'squares' for the week. Now I need to get to work on the KAL squares as I have only 4 of 8 from clue 1 and 2 of 4 from clue 2 done.

I just finished clue 2 and I only knitted 66 rows for each block. Finished size before blocking is 9 1/4 x 8 1/2. Stretches nicely to a 9 1/2 square.

Just finished my Week 2 project and have time to finish the Week 1 clue. It's really
just a reflection of my normal week, 1 clue forward, 1 clue back.

That's great! I haven't finished Clue 2 or Clue 1. It took me forever to do the first square in Clue 2. I kept making mistakes and having to take the whole thing apart. Now I know how to tink it. Plus my husband had the whole weekend off and we spent all the time with our children. So, I didn't have my normal time to :knit: I usually do that when the kiddos go to bed and I can relax with my knitting and watch tv.

Question: How important is it that we cast off with a larger needle? :ugeek:
I completely forgot that tip and finished 3 squares with same needles I knit them with. I have a fair amount of stretch on both the bottom and top of my squares as is.
I forgot simply because the tip was not on the written clue page and I used that to refer back to all the time. I love that the clue did include how to stretch it to do the measurement, sure made me feel better since it is more narrow than expected and I would have gone up a needle size had that tip not been there!

I didn't use a larger needle either and everything came out fine. I just made sure I cast off loosly.

I'm done with clue no. 2. I have more than one day to wait for next clue. I have plenty of time to block my squares  :cloud9:
