Finishing up blocking the clue 2 motifs today. Really wishing for clue 3 ;D .. LOVE the colors (especially the brown/earth tones ones). Once mine dry, I'll get a picture of the lot up.

Again, thanks Bernat for the fun! My challenge is in keeping with it for the full time and getting the afghan finished

I only know VERy basic knitting, so I knew not to even think about attempting it.

I only knew knit and purl and didn't even know how to hold my needles or yarn yet before the KAL. Don't let yourself be stopped to try this if you have the urge just because you know basic knitting. If this is something you are yearning to do as you are following along then do it! You will learn more than basic knit by time you are done. Last times looks much much more difficult than this years. But I do have the yarn ...
So, if you want to do it, do it. There are many many newbies working on the KAL and not all have even finished week 1's clue yet! So you won't even be all that behind if you joined in now!

Did the same person design both motifs? Because if the same person designed them both with the same hook size why am I getting gauge with the same motif but not with the large?

The whole afghan was designed by a single person - Julia (you may remember her from leading the 2009 Knit-Along).

Clue 2 is done, Oh, what a help the picture was. After looking at the picture all the squares went fast. Color is Butter. Hope clue 3 isn't as puzzling.
