Wow! The website you listed has a lot of pictures and info about your town. It was nice to see. Thanks for pointing us in that direction. 8-)

I live in Northeastern Illinois near the Wisconsin border, on the outskirts of the city of McHenry. You and I live over 2500 miles from each other. Imagine this: if one of us drove to the other, it would take four full days of constant driving. That would be quite the trip, eh? Perhaps through this CAL we can get virtually closer. 8-)

What colors have you chosen for the CAL? Mine are: Sundrift, Tibetan Red, Blue Gown, Stone Brown, and Colonial Beige. I have already received them from the Waverly for Bernat site. They are GORGEOUS! I love even the FEEL of them, so I know I will enjoy crocheting with them. I can hardly wait! 8-)

Good luck with your project. I hope to hear more about it soon.

i live somewhat near you. we are currently south of you in bourbonnias...home of the bears practice field.

Snow Day in Northern Wisconsin!!!!!!!!!!!! I got a call from work that I don't need to try to get in today so I am home to get the clue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got about a foot of snow during the night and it is still snowing and according to reports I have heard there is another possible 2 - 9 inches for today. So all snuggled in and ready for clue, have the roast in the crock pot with fingers crossed that power does not go down. :knit:

Hello everyone!
I'm in Southside Virginia....not too far from NC border. Town is South Boston, VA. Durham NC about an hour one way, Richmond, VA about and hour and a half the other way. Small town, no good yarn stores, have to go elsewhere for Michaels, JoAnns, etc. So I do a lot of ordering online. I am enjoying the CAL/KAL lot.
Happy knitting/crocheting to everyone.

Hoping everyone that lives in the mid West is safe! What terrible storms, my heart really goes out to all who have suffered any losses. Sounds like it is heading my way, VA.

I thought it would be fun to learn some geography while we crochet. Get out your atlas, or use google maps! Read this forum and learn, learn, learn!

I am from Flatrock, Newfoundland, Canada. This is a small town of about 1100 people, just outside St. John's, Newfoundland. I live on the most easterly coast of Canada... right out in the Atlantic.

Why not visit

to see my community?

In the Newfoundland dialect of English, the question "Where do you live?" is often said as "Where are you from?" So....

Where are you from?

Hi there,
I am in Newcomerstown, Ohio
A rural area --no local yarn shops.
So this forum is really helpful.
