Sounds like a great idea! Wish I had thought of it.

You guys aren't gonna believe what I give up for Lent every year. BUYING YARN!!![]()
And this is the time of year when all the pretty displays for Spring yarns come out.![]()
But, watch out on the day after Easter, cause Shandeh is going YARN SHOPPING that day!

knittymama570 wrote:That's a temptation way to big to handle. Give up buying new needles and hooks. Give up buying new patterns. But not the yarn. Noooo! Not the YARN!

Yeah, it's VERY hard. But, our pastor said we need to sacrifice something that is important to us. So, that's the only thing I could think of.
Need to learn cables next!!

LuckyRainbow wrote:Cable knitting is very challenging. I taught myself pretty quickly after learning to knit. I had some really funny results early on. Very difficult to cable when you haven't really figured out how to adjust tension or really understand how to read a pattern. On the other hand, I discovered that I had to loosen my tension a lot to get the cables to look right. But, it is a wonderful payoff when the project is done and looks good.
