Knit-Along Clue 3: Spoilers and Photos

I'm not personally doing the knit along but I do love to stop by and see the photos of everyones progress! This is all so much fun!

Me too!! I've got 29 stitches on my needles! Hope to finish this one today!

I am not finished as you can see! But I am having a lot more fun making this square than any of the other ones so far and I wanted to show off how much I finished in just over an hours work. Mind you, that was learning what was wanted of me. I love how we are building on previous skills as we go along, doesn't feel overwhelming this way.
Can you tell how off my lighting is? Same square pictured, just different sides and they look like two different colours!

I replaced my previous photos with my half way progress photos.
Didn't take as long to get that much more done than the first bit, just over another hour. I figure the whole thing will take me about 4-5 hours. And just to be clear, we have to make 8 identical ones eh?

My finished square is more rectangle. My first side is way big compared to my second side. Should I try using smaller needles to do the first half?

from what I read from the pattern it seems like it will be the same on both sides

I must have really goofed. Been knitting for eons and today I'm baffled. Guess I'll take it apart and wait for someone to post a completed square. Luck to you all!
