Did you watch the video Bernat provided for that stitch? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUEEQSvZego
It's in the first posting on this discussion thread.
All the underlined words take you to videos that Crystal with Bernat made.

I have to say I am enjoying doing this CAL, a first for me. I even have a couple of ladies I work with wanting to learn to crochet! I only got 2 done today between running emergency calls, but off for 7 days should be able to finish and maybe start another. :D

Somehow I'm using my larger N hook form last weeks clue, but it's too small... Oh well this end product might be a little wonky...

And don't forget Kaleigh! She's awesome. ;)

Yes, I sleep....but never more than 4 hours at a time. And I'm a night owl. I usually stay up every night til about 3 or 4, then I sleep til noon. That's why you usually only see Jen and Kaleigh in here during the day. I teach piano in the afternoons, then come here and gab all night. :D Sometimes, I step away to eat, or knit, or play piano, or watch Netflix. So, I do actually have a life apart from Bernat.

But, whenever I walk by the computer, I usually turn on the internet, and take a peek in the forum. :)
I'm addicted to you guys.

YES KALEIGH TOO!!! You're all awesome!!! I looked back at the 2010 CAL and it's beautiful too. Wish I could have joined you all then. I may do it after I finish this year's CAL. :)

1 motif done . . . . . . 5 more to go. I'm cheering for us all! :bravo:

By the way, I struggled with round 5, but I looked at the diagram and it's so helpful to have it right there with the pattern instructions.

I didn't know how to read a diagram before doing this CAL. So Woo Hoo!!! ;) I'm so grateful for all I'm learning from Bernat and all you wonderful gals who are here joining in the fun!

I just tried something different with this clue. I went down to a 5.00mm hook, but switched to METAL instead of plastic, and the sizing is actually spot on as far as I can tell. If you guys are having sizing issues, that might be something worth fiddling around with.
