Why is this square measuring larger? I am seeing I am not alone in this. But I am concerned to continue on. Please please please don't make me frog these past 4 hours! :hrmm:

Here is my first square of Clue 3 finished. I have noticed that some of you are saying that it is coming out larger. If anything mine is a bit smaller, but still very close to the right size. Close enough that I don't think I will be adjusting anything, that is unless the rest seem to come out different. Only time will tell. :idonno:

Some of the squares might have some size issues, since the purl stitch is included.
Some knitters make their purl stitches bigger than their knit stitches, and this causes a change in the gauge.

Half of this square has purl stitches, and the other half has none. That could explain the difference for some of you.

Mine came out to be 10 inches too. I think for the next one I am going to use size7 or the first half and 8 for the second. What do you all think?
I am not a frogger!! It scares me to think about ripping it out!!

Don't be afraid. Just pretend that it's something you are mad about, and tear it apart. Ha! ;)

Frogging is just a part of knitting.

First square of Clue 3 completed earlier this evening. Mine came out 1/4" larger than Clue 1.

Yes ! Thanks !!

I like the "basket style" of this point (a really new style for me), and I hope the second half of my choice will look nice .... I'm still in the first half :scared: but I've crocheted 2 clues 3 last evening ....
My colours : yellow for E, and red for C.
I hope I'll have enough yellow, and not sure to find more, even at the store where pought it, so I'll certainly have to knit 4 yellow-red and introduce some green rows in 4 others yellow (I have enough red), maybe also with white and red. I'm suppose to use Ferrari's colours, so I have black, red, dark grey - for the wheels, yellow and white, and looking more closely to the cars (in photo, of course, don't dream, §I've not a real Ferrari in my garage !), I can see some green near the logo on cars, like the italian flag ......
May be I'll have to change the sewing clue ....

I'm sure you understand : this blanket is for my eldest son, 28, fan of racing cars, F1 and specially of Ferrari !!!

Now, some more coffee, and :knit:
