I have been tempted to buy for a third too!!!
I love the pattern, I have always wanted to try a hexagon or octagon shape!
If I do buy for a third, I will make it after these, and of course I will have to hide the yarn from my husband.
He may start looking for a 12 step program for yarn-a-holics!

It was on sale at Acmoore this week. I lucked out on sales for the 2nd and 3rd

I keep reading about AC Moore stores and finally looked them up--the closest one to me is about 100 miles--bummer!! Sure wish there was one closer as I have never been in one and would love to go. We have Hobby Lobby, Michaels and JoAnn. The only store in my town that sells yarn is WalMart and the selection is not great.

The CAL is definately easier than the KAL. Hope to have a catch up week soon for the KAL as I haven't even finished one KAL clue yet. Maybe I shouldn't have decided to do both afghans. :rainy:

the biggest advantage of working two is that i am able to "test" the first block of a new clue w/the color from the stash yarn!!! when i move on to the yarn just purchased, it flows more naturally.

Love this third clue, very interesting. :ugeek:

I have 9 yarn storage boxes under a high iron bed and another 3 in a closet. There is not such thing as too much yarn. I understand about hiding yarn!!!

I have a very large (it has wheels) tote that is full and two smaller totes with yarn. My partner calls these my "yarn coffins". ;)

I'm thinking about making two afghan's. I enjoyed the first two clues but haven't figured out #3 yet. If I see a yarn sale it will be tempting. I'm not sure if I want to use the same colors or a completely different color family. I'm now using the Town and Coutry colors and I also like the Past Perfect.

I think I am going to complete this one and then try another with multiple colors in each motif--the photos that have been posted in multiples are beautiful!!!

I'm pretty sure I'm going to start a second one making it a "crazy quilt" type.....i have a <ahem> HUGE stash of yarn that need to be whittled down, and frankly it'll be FUN! and i have NO idea for whom i'm making these things..i just like to crochet. :D

but i suspect I'll be raiding my stash this evening, after I finish off the last motif of Clue #3. Otherwise I'll have to go back to work on the granny blanket i'm making.
