Dishcloth KAL/CAL

Postby Shandeh » Fri Mar 02, 2012 1:40 am

Bernat has a great assortment of dishcloth patterns - both knitted and crocheted.

So, we have plenty to choose from.

I think I will start off by making some pretty Chrysanthemums!

Would anyone like to join me in making some dishcloths? :D

Usually, dishcloths are made with cotton yarn, like Bernat Handicrafter.
But, I've heard of some people making theirs with standard acrylic yarn like Bernat Super Value.
Which of Bernat's yarns do you think would work well for dishcloths?

Those are so cute! I made a potholder like that once but with less petals. I'll track down some of my Bernat Handicrafter tomorrow and start a dishcloth :) I think I have a greeny blue colour somewhere... :knit:

I am definitely in need of dishcloth and those are sooooooooo cute, and since my son and his fiancee are moving out soon, they will need a lot of things. I'll jump in. I'll try to find some yarn today

For this particular pattern, I will need two different colors of Bernat Handicrafter.
I wish I had some white, because I saw a few people on Ravelry who put white centers in their flowers. Really dressed them up, making them look even MORE like a flower!

I searched through my cotton stash last night, and found a couple good combinations.

Since my mother always asks for green, I'll use this set.
Psychedelic and Mod Green

And my favorite colors in my kitchen are yellow and orange, so this will work for my cloth(s).
Creamsicle and Tangerine
(Looks like a baby yarn with its Mama, doesn't it?)
