25 posts - 1 colored ball
50 posts - 2 colored balls
100 posts - 3 colored balls

I don't know the rest of the breakdown yet. Time will tell!

I just signed on to this forum, and I noticed that when I post there is a sidebar that has balls of yarn. None of mine are filled in and it says Newbie. I am guessing that this can be altered by the user to color in some of those balls and show that you are an intermediate or expert. I didn't see how to do this. Is it possible?

Well, it's obviously not 300 because you still have 3! I think it's a big jump from the 100 mark for 3 balls to be filles in!
