I know several people who like to knit or crochet dishcloths with acrylic yarn, for the "scrubbing" quality.

So far, mine looks like a yoyo. I've only done the center circle.

I love your descriptions Shandeh

First time I do a dishcloth with Super value, You're right Shandeh, I like the scrubbing quality on my stove, but surely I will make more with either super value and cotton

I use Bernat Cottontots and dishcloth patterns to make baby washcloths--they are so soft and I love the Cottontot colors. I have been thinking about a baby towel/washcloth set but have not started it yet.

I love to use Bernat Cottontots for facecloths! They feel WONDERFUL on the skin! :inlove:

I made this one when I was learning crochet, and just tried out different stitches. Added a border, and it turned out so pretty! It looks and feels wonderful still, even after several washes in hot water and bleach! :?

That is a great way to practice stitches--yours are certainly better looking than my first attempts were--it is beautiful!!!! I love the feel of Cottontots as I am working on it so I look for excuses to use it.

I always laugh when I use that cloth. I look at all the mistakes, and it just gets me going again.
Take a good look at that border in the top right corner. It gets me every time!

Mistakes is what makes it unique and ours!
Plus I just keep the mistake ones - since who can't use another in their pile - and give away the 'perfects'

Cottontots is my favourite yarn for making cotton balls/make up removers. Nothing is softer on the eye area than a Cottontot Ball.

I just had major dental work performed this morning and am now pretty wonky and feel the need to craft. Kind of a bad combo. So I think I will make this flower dishcloth using Scrubby in the middle

Will update in a bit

Thank you, in a lot of pain right now, not quite time for my pain meds yet. grrr!

Anyhow, after taking a short nap, a dozen mistakes and a ton of frogging, here is my dish cloth, new Scrubby (Purple) in the centre and Sugar and Cream (Velvet Orchid) outlining it. I ended up with 13 petals, might have been helpful if the instructions had continued telling me how many we need at the end of a row. But I don't care, kept my mind some what off the pain. And it is useful!
I love the texture of Scrubby!
I also had to frog the last row before I finally understood the instructions wanted us to return up the shells and not move to the next set of shells for the return trip!
I honestly thought this would mimic CAL Clue 3 more than it did. In the end it was fairly easy and not long to work on at all
