It is really tricky. One tip is to keep your work very slack and crochet loose to make it less likely to lose stitches.

The Mermaid Tears Purse Crochet along has begun! Join us! You can find a section under Bernat crochet-alongs and knit- alongs with a link to the pattern and other crocheters who are making the purse. So far I have made the scaly part of the purse. I am going to make two, one for me and one for a friend. Isn't it a cute pattern? And it crochets up quite quickly.

There is a bigger crochet- along and knit- along where we are making blankets but don't know what they will look like in the end. Each week we get a "clue" or a pattern for a part of the blanket. Everyone is working at their own pace and you can jump in any time. So far we have had three clues. Welcome to the forum! I have been enjoying it here and learning so much!

Here is my completed bag part of myCAL Mermaid Tears Purse. I am loving this colour. I haven't decided yet what the top colour will be but I will be making the flower in Bernat Super Saver Rouge. This one is for a friend so I will probably ask her to choose.
