Is the way the yarn sold in the stores a ball or a skein? With all the yarns sold in different lengts how do you know how much one ball is? I am hoping I purchased enough yarn for the CAL
Every ball of yarn has information on the label, showing the yarn details.
The Craft Yarn Council has a webpage about it here:
http://www.craftyarncouncil.com/label.htmlThe label will show (among other things) how many yards of yarn there are in each skein.
Bernat Waverly yarn has 197 yards per skein.
If you substitute a different yarn, you need to make sure you have enough YARDS of the yarn to do the project.
If you are doing our CAL, you will need:
5 balls of the main color (985 yards)
2 balls color A (394 yards)
2 balls color B (394 yards)
2 balls color C (394 yards)
2 balls color D (394 yards)
