I can turn them if needed so the right colour is in the right position for seaming. As long as I'm using the two colours required, I hope it will be all right! :hrmm:
I read where Shandeh said that the colors of the yarn you use is the main thing, not so much the pattern that is used. So you should be fine!
Oh good!
I have extra yarn so can work up more if needed. (do you think I'll feel like it by the end?) :idonno:
I would definitely wait until the end to see if it's necessary. But I know I probably wouldn't feel like it. lol.
I don't think I'll feel like it either!
My first square was a little bigger. (the one on the top left) :hrmm: Wonder if I should redo or keep going..... This is my busiest week so far and dread having to rip!
How much bigger was the first one?
About a half an inch.

Nice photo of your square blocking! :bravo:

Thank you, Shandeh. I really struggled with the Clue 3 patterns trying to make them equal in size. Using smaller needles and fudging with the first half's pattern finally worked and I'm on my way with the third square for this clue. Here's hoping next week is a catch-up week seeing as so many of us are struggling with this one.

WOW!! I love your colors! :bravo: What other colors will you have in your afghan?

White and a bright turquoise blue (along with the Pink) made up my first squares (I believe I posted a pic of those), the turquoise for clue 2... and the last color which I have to used is another variegated with white and various shades of pink (light to the bright from these last squares)

I had the pinks and whites in my stash and just had to but the Blue and rainbow (I think color is called "psychedelic")

Peeking over the fence!

Postby MzMolly » Mon Mar 05, 2012 1:50 pm

Hello from the crochet side. Had to come and see how the knitters are making out. Everyone's squares look really nice and are making me think of all kinds of ideas. I'm playing at domino knitting and these 1/2 triangles of color make me wonder if I can domino knit these squares with the appropriate pattern on each side and the color join in the middle.

The hamster is definitely running on the wheel now!

I'll be peeking over the fence to see how this afghan progresses .. have fun people!!
