I wish I could join in on this. There is no way I can talk my husband it to letting me within about 3 miles of a craft store until the big CAL/KAL is done with. He's already tired of my yarn mess slowly taking over the living room. Sadly if I order online he might lock down the internet and send me to a rehab center for yarn (and maybe even purse) addiction

That is hilarious!!! He sounds like my husband, and if you are anything like me you will find a way! haha.

You are awesome Teeyay! It's good to have people like you around who notice details. I just didn't notice because I didn't bother to count! jBut let's stay in the 12 scales club!
Oh, btw, I made a couple of flowers last night. My daughers like to put bobby pins in them and wear them in their hair. The flower is fun to make and crochets up quickly too!

I'm glad to hear that everyone else has 12 tears. I'm going to Joann's today to get my "real" yarn. Since I have so many UFOs, my mom doesn't understand why I need more yarn, but I don't have the colors I want. :knit:

I was thinking about wearing the flower in my hair too! :cooldude:

I’ve been working on the purse this weekend too. :) After the first few rows, I was thinking you could probably make a nice clutch with the crocodile stitches. You could add beads and use a dark colour, I bet it would be lovely. :crown:

I’m making it using some of the yarn leftovers I have from many, many projects. Haha!

Funny you should say that, I have been wracking my brain trying to figure out if it could be made smaller, adapted into a cell phone size. With the Kal/Cal I don't have time to figure out the adaption, but maybe once the Mystery projects are done I will. I love the pattern effect but not the large size.
I love following along with all your progress and seeing it take shape. Be sure to take photos and keep us updated as you go along, it is nice to see a larger project done in stages.

To make a cell phone case you could start with 28 ch. First row would be 28dcs then follow the pattern making only four scales per round. I think I would need about 7 rows. Oh no! Now I have another project I want to do! :P

I am having problems with this pattern. Could someone please tell me how are "down post" and "up post" stitches done! Are they another name for front post and back post stitches. I have searched and searched the internet and asked all my crocheting friends - nobody has an answer!!! :tears: Please - have the yarn but not the stitch. Thanks
