Went to bed last night and the hand they put the IV into was all swollen, I think cuz of holding the needles / hooks.

Girl! Go take a rest from crafting and just chill for a while. Watch television, put an ice pack on your mouth, and another one on your hand. Your health is more important than our CAL/KAL.

No worries about getting behind. I'm behind too! We can keep working on our blankets for the next year or so. ;)

By the way, I love that scrubby!

I finished my Chrysanthemum! :D

This was a very interesting design, and taught me some new things. I was confused as I was making it, because it wasn't looking anything like the pattern photo on the next to last round. I thought I was doing it wrong!

When I started the last round, I was absolutely flummoxed! :?: :| :?:
SO......off to the internet I went. And found some videos of people crocheting that last round. I'm so glad this is a popular pattern! Lots of stuff online about it. ;)

After receiving my online degree for Chrysanthemum Completion 101, I went back to my crafting spot and did it! This is a beautiful dishcloth! And it works as a doily too!

I'm using it today, under my teapot. :cloud9:

I always laugh when I use that cloth. I look at all the mistakes, and it just gets me going again.
Take a good look at that border in the top right corner. It gets me every time!

I can totally relate to that--did the same thing on an afghan border and the worst part is, I knew better but did it anyway. I used steam to stretch it out so it looks OK, but I kicked myself for quite a while over that and I am much more careful now!!! I still love your cloth and know you use it lovingly.

That eighth round was most def a stinker! I wondered too how it would end up becoming a flower shape, after all I totally expected it to work up like CAL clue 3. When expectations are broken it sure can make things confusing!
Love your colour combo

Thanks! I've fallen in LOVE with orange and yellow lately. I need all the sunshine in my life that I can get....so I just make it myself.

This looked like so much fun, I had to give it a try. I used some of my Sugar and Cream stash, Vinatage Twist and Natural. I also added a hanging loop on one of the petal ends by chaining 8 instead of one. It was really fun to work and a good break from octagons. I believe by the end of this CAL I will be ready to go out and start shooting Stop signs :scared: (hiding from the Octagon invasion forces).

Beautiful flower, and I love the color.

That's funny about the stop signs. :D

I love the Chrysanthemum Cloth I made, but I think I will make something different for my Mom. I'm gonna look through Bernat's KNIT dishcloths, just for a change.

I'm making this post from my phone, so I can't post links.
Tomorrow, I will update it with links and photos.

I've decided to make Bernat's Mitered Dishcloth (knit) for my Mom. She is more into modern things than I am. So, this design is more her style.

I've already started working on it, and it's going well. Very easy pattern, with mostly knit stitches. :D It's good to have a project I can work on while watching videos.

Today, I was out teaching piano lessons, and stopped by a thrift store. I found an old video for a dollar that I always loved to watch. So nice to find one of my favorite movies for a great price! "Heaven Can Wait", starring Warren Beatty. Watched it while knitting tonight. What a treat!
