I am guessing we will put the squares together in groups of four, like a pinwheel quilt look. I wonder if we will then put a border around each four square group and then sew the groups together?

I did some quick math on this and if we assemble the squares 4 wide by 6 long, we have 7" less in the width and 2" less in the length than the finished measurements. So....something to add to the width maybe? Like long panels between squares??? Or maybe the squares will be positioned as diamonds and we knit triangles between?

Hmm... :hrmm:

Some of us had thought the squares were done with clue 1-3 and then big borders of color A. With 4 additional squares, I don't know now.

Had to start over sev times due to getting up to answer the phone, etc. Rows 9 and 11 take
some diligence on my part to make sure which row I'm on. I hate having to pay attention ! lol
I'm going to start marking the row I'm on with a pencil dot in case I'm interrupted at any point.

On page 3 of this very topic Trudi had a very nice post. I put it into a word document and printed it. Now I won't have to worry about keeping track, if I lose my place I just need to count the stitches on the hook and see what row I need to work on.

Just finished my first square, and found an easy way to track what row I was on (well it worked for me, anyway). What I did for the WS/odd-numbered rows was to find the first k1 below st from the prev WS row, follow that st up to my needle, and started counting back towards the beginning with p,k,p etc. knowing that the first st was always k. So you start with either 1 knit st or 2 knit sts.

Hope this helps someone else!

I am always anxiously awaiting the next clue but I really need a makeup week! Then if I have extra time jam knitting things to donate for a benefit auction at church! A friend was struck by a car!

Has anyone timed how long it takes to do a square? I did clue 4 today in about 3 hours with very little interruptions. Now I can kind of judge how long it will take me to do the remaining 19 squares .... About 57 more hours!
