Ran into a gauge issue and an unrelated project deadline. I've completed week 1 and have one motif from week 2 completed (need to rip out the first two because they're too small.) I'll catch up over the next week, as I'm taking time off from work. :)

I'm still so sad :rainy: that my little animated pet game, SuperPoke! Pets ended forever this morning at 12:43am. Google bought it just to shut down a year later. I've been playing it for almost 3 years with my almost 3 year old grandson, he was only about 3 months old when he started to watch the pets. I completely forgot :hrmm: today was Wed and only came to the forum to distract myself. Too tired to knit or crochet from staying up late then having to get up early to take hubby to his train.

This is our week back in CA for him to work his one week a month in San Francisco, we live in Spokane WA and travel monthly. If I would have remembered I could have printed the new clues while I was visiting my mom today. Will see if the printer in the lobby will work but so far every time we have tried using it it won't work.

 Oh well I have lots to catch up on before starting anything new

Falling behind in Mystery Afghan

Postby Tadmouse » Thu Mar 08, 2012 10:39 am

Is it best to do each new clue, at least one , or wait and finish each one in order? Thanks

Myself, I do one of the new clue as it comes out to satisfy my curiosity and to make sure I understand what is wanted. Then I go back and pick an old clue and work it till done, or mix it up. Being so far behind I have options like that!

I only started this project on Sunday but I have 4 of clue 1 completed and 1 of clue 3 and 1 of clue 4. I will finish clue 1 and 2 when I get my missing yarn order. Only 18 more to catch up!
Clue 1-complete
Clue 2-3 complete
Clue 3-complete
Clue 4-complete
23 1/2 done 1/2 to go!

I did not even start the Mystery Afghan until Clue #2 came out. I was following on the boards all the time...and getting more excited by the post, but had to wait for pay day. I quickly knitted up a 3-4 square of clue #1 and then couldn't wait ....just like Karenarp, I knitted up one of Clue #2 to satisfy my curiosity and also could then follow on the board if I was having any problems. Didn't though...its lovely to knit.

Now I am on the last square for Clue #1 and have 3 squares of Clue #2 to do. Just take your time...we will all still be here to chat with long after the final clue comes out. :hellogoodbye:

I am way behind on this. I completed all the clues for week 1 CAL on the first day. Then the next week found out I was moving. I have six years worth of stuff to pack up so I decided I wouldn't touch my hook until I moved, which is another two weeks away. Thankfully clue 2 and 3 are big squares so I could hold off not touching them. Then this weeks small clue came out and I couldn't resist! I have three squares done and am hoping that will keep me satisfied for the next couple of weeks.
Maybe I should use the CAL as a reward? Definitely need the motivation to tackle the shed and kids rooms. :o On the upside, when we move into our new house I will have an enclosed verandah to sit and crochet! :cloud9:
