The Waverly yarn has a lofty, light texture. I think it adds a tiny bit of "umph" to the way the stitches "stand up"....so it affects the gauge a tiny bit.

Looks like round 2 is off, which makes round 3 off. The three clusters of popcorn stitches should be above each popcorn in row 1, with the ch4s inbetween. Looks like maybe your ch4s are in the wrong place?
