First square of clue #4. I had fun with this one. Just 3 more squares...I can't wait for the next step! :knit:

Finally finished first square of clue 4. Darn working for a living. Not sure how this color combo (chocolate/vanilla ice cream) will work with last week's Christmas squares. Oh well, I am sure it will be okay because I still like the colors on the skein together.

Happy knitting!

Really nice work! :inlove: I love the color combo too. I chose the deeper colors for my afghan too but haven't seen too many blocks in my colors. I'll be watching for your finished product. I think it's great that you haven't had any tension/gauge problems. You must have a knitting angel watching over you... :angel: Ha...Ha...

Marilyn58,
Hehehehehehehe....... You are probably right :) ---- I am usually all messed up!!!!! But thankfully with this project I seem to be doing something right ---- or feeding my knitting angel :angel: enough chocolate that she is happy with me! :) I love the deeper/more earthy colors and am really excited to see this all come together. Have you posted any pictures of your clues? I would love to see your colors!

I have loved this mystery ----- my only complaint :( is that we have to wait SO long for another mystery afghan KAL!
Trudi

Trudi,
I have posted my blocks for all three clues in their corresponding photo section. My colors are Antique, Tibetan Red, Gypsy Gold, Classic Navy and Stone Brown. For Clue 4 I'll be using the navy and the brown so very similar if not the same as yours. It was nice to get a preview. So you say your secret is chocolate huh? I can do that! :lol:

I use a little different method of keeping track of my rows, writing the number of stitches at the end of the increase rows and a X for the completion of odd number rows. It looks like this, is penciled in as I go along. I put it below pattern directions.
Rows Sts./done

8 13 17 21 25 29 33 37
9 X X X X X X X
10 15 19 23 27 31 35 39
11 X X X X X X 55*

* goal
For some reason this does not appear on line the same as the preview. Hope you get the idea.

This is my favorite of all of the squares we've made for the KAL! It also works up VERY quickly. I am very happy with the colors for this one, as they compliment each other well. One down with three to go -- should not be a problem for completion by Wed AM.

Make it your own and keep it this way. I got that same texture stitch in my squares with the last clue. LOL!
