I have all of Clue 1 done, 2 of 2, 1 of 3 and am working on my first of Clue 4. I have ripped this one out about 4 times now! I was having problems with the 4 repeat rows - not knowing where I was I bought a 3/4 inch cube like a dice & wrote on 4 sides - 8 inc - 10 inc - 9 K2 - 11 K1 - I knit the row as per the dice instructions then turn it one side and continue with the next row. I am finding that this is working & the rows are getting easier to knit following these instructions. Keep on plugging & I may have this afghan done in time for the next one

Well, I've finally made peace with the fact that I can't keep up!
We are half way through clue 4, and I've only got 5 of clue 3 done....I want to finish them all before I move on to clue 4, otherwise I will have to retrain my brain as to how to do clue 3. So, I have to finish them before I move on.
And, I have two nieces who are expecting babies, and silly me got into this habit of making Tunisian stitch crocheted baby blankets for all the other nieces who had babies, so I have to make them for these two upcoming babies as well. So, I'm thinking it will be July or later before I get my afghan done!
AND, I was surfing this site and saw the 2009 KAL mystery blanket, and it looks beautiful. I may have to print those instructions off and make it, after I get this one done.
Does anyone know, will those instructions always be available on these forum pages?

I'm not sure about the exact location, but I'm sure that Bernat will keep the pattern available on the website. We still have access to the blanket from 2009, so this one is bound to be around for quite a while.

I have completed one square from Clue #2. I got a mixed dye lot of one of my yarns and I am still waiting for a replacement to come in. I have heard it is back ordered. Going to try to finish Clue 2 this week (It's Spring Break!) and hopefully the rest of the yarn will come in soon so I can proceed with the rest of the clues.

Looks like I am behind you though!

I'm quite far behind too. I only have myself to blame. When I was waiting for the KAL to start I saw an afghan pattern with the US map on it and decided that I had to make that. Of course that is not finished but I am now hurrying to catch up on the KAL because I don't want to see what the finished product will look like until I have completed more of my blocks. Thank goodness I am travelling this week. I am alone in my hotel room each evening and have a 4 hour airplane flight on Saturday, so lots of time to knit, knit, knit.

I'm behind, but it is my own fault. I didn't check my gauge correctly. I have clue 1 & 2 finished. Blocking them now. Working on 3. 3.5 finished there & 1 of clue 4 ( b/c I used the wrong colors). Now, I am having a problem with my shoulder. It is tightening when I sit & knit. So, I can only do a little at a time. And, then, I have to take time to read everyone's posts. But, it is all good. I am enjoying working on this & learning something new.

I finally got one of the clues for the KAL done last night (clue 4) and I hope tonight I get clue 2 done tonight (started square 4 last night).

But I have put the CAL motifs on hold while I get the KAL caught up and I haven't finished the last two weeks of clues or yet to start clue 5.

Thank goodness the weather is forcasted to be overcast and rainy this weekend - that means the sun won't be calling me outside to work in the garden - more time for needlework. Plus we need the rain!!
