I grew up in North Carolina, and ate a lot of creamsicles too. Especially during our unbearably hot summers, after helping to harvest the garden. We didn't have tangerine groves, though. But we had lots of other stuff: green beans, collard greens, crowder peas, okra, tomatoes, corn, potatoes, sweet potatoes, tobacco, watermelon, squash, canteloupes, strawberries, onions, popcorn, peppers, etc.
But, I HATED working in the garden.

Now, I think I'll use one of the Bernat pattern books in my library.
And there are lots of fun, bright dishcloth designs in the "Bright Ideas" pattern book.

I asked my daughter before she left if she wanted one of my new flower ones (earlier in this topic) and she turned it down."I only use those to get the tea stains out of our cups, I use sponges the rest of the time"
So I offered to make her the little round scrubbies in place of a sponge and she turned that down too. She must be feeling better!
I never think of handicrafter cotton for afghans though, it is just not soft enough for my likes, and if not soft I don't know how I can ever make a whole huge project with it.
