You're not missing anything - we have only done one square with B. I brought MC and B with me today, so at least I was half-right with my guess on the colours for this week!

The tip for clue #1 said to leave a 12 inch tail for seaming? Are most people doing this or are you weaving in the tails as you go? And if you are leaving the tail, are you leaving it that long for all of the clues?

I LOVE GRANNY SQUARES (octagons I have not tried yet). I just finished a granny square blanket made from leftovers. I used a camo pink, raspberry, and forest green. It came out BEAUTIFUL!!!!

When I have scrap yarn, I make them into granny squares. Then, when I have enough grannies, I put them all together into an afghan. My intention is to give them away, which I usually do. This last one I kept for myself.

Well, off to complete Clue #5!!! I have the whole week off, so I am sure I will have no trouble getting all 6 motifs done today. Thank goodness I have a WIP that is almost finished as well. I am amazed at how many WIP's I have completed since starting the CAL. Thanks for the breaks between clues.

I have not left the 12". I've done that before and find I either have way too much or way too little. I'm also thinking of just using one color for joining these little motifs together, rather than a whole bunch of colors just because it's there. Just my humble opinion....

Finished my first one! It is really easy, although I didn't pay very good attention to the counting at first and had to rip a little. My advice is to check your counts after each round. Usually a mistake is pretty obvious. I stuck with my J hook (up 2 from the recommended) and finally came in at the size I was supposed to! So, yes, this one does work up a little looser because of all those granny-like holes, so if you've been right on target so far, you might want to go down a hook. Personally, I'm having to block everything to the right size, so this was great!
