First Timer!

Postby tootie » Thu Jan 05, 2012 12:18 am

I've never done anything like this before. My girlfriend did this last year, and I told her if it came up again this year, I was gonna do it too. I can't decide whether to knit or crochet....I crochet faster, but like the look of knitting better...what happens if I do both, but can't keep up? Can I print off the instructions so that I can work on it as long as it takes?
And I don't know where to start with colours....don't even know if the afghans are going to go in my living room or my family room....I'm just excited to try something neat like this...I guess I'll just have to make the decision to do one for each room, and choose the colours accordingly.
Except there are 7 colours in each palette, and we only need 5....so that just makes it a harder decision.
Decisions, decisions, decisions!

Hello! I am a newbie on CAL, tried a KAL, but my attention span and time to work on the project was not working out. I am hoping this will work out for me. Good luck!

This is also my first time on either a CAL or KAL. I'm very excited to start.

It's my first time too! I'm struggling with colors but I'm very excited to do this.

No rush....no worries...
Take your time, and enjoy the process.
It's what I'm going to do!

Last year, I think I was one of the very last ones to finish my blanket. :?
But, it was not a problem. And I had a beautiful blanket when I finished! :cloud9:

I am also a first timer and have only been crocheting for a year and a half. I am so excited to do this, not only to make something fun but to get in contact with other Crocheters. The lady that taught me passed away this last year and It makes me really sad because I have no one to connect with in my little town. I am so excited for this new project! Good luck to everyone! :D

It has been a long time since I joined one of these. It was with a group of internet crocheters.

What worries me though is that the Reference notes say that we will be doing several sections and then joining them. You all do NOT know how much I absolutely HATE joining (sigh). I might just do all the sections and stare at them for a year before I join them...

I think there are a LOT of us that don't really enjoy joining. But, maybe we can plan a weekend joining party in here one weekend. We can talk about silly things, and encourage each other that way, posting photos of our achievements and disasters. Let's make it fun! :D
