Add me to the Birch White as the MC Club. I love it! I can't wait to see how it all comes together.

I've been using magic rings each week for all the blocks so far, without problems. I prefer them over chain stitching to form a ring because I feel magic rings give me more control of the size of the center. Chain stitching to form a ring, when I do it, results in a larger center space than what I prefer.

Got 3 of the 6 done. Easy and fun, although I had to keep track of counting in the beginning. This is done in the MC, and for me it is black. I'm making two afghans at the same time. One in Black and aqua colors, and one in black and brick or orange colors. Should be interesting. Last year I followed the color chart almost exactly like the one that Bernat did and most of us all looked the same when done! lol This year I've went totally crazy and picked colors that inspire me. Hope they work out to something worth putting the time and effort in to! Can't wait to see everyone's when they are done!

I got my first one done. I used the smaller hook after reading everyone's posts about how much larger this one seems to be coming out than the others. Glad I did. I was right at 11 inches. I can see how blocking could be really important in this project. I've never blocked before...

Added photo once cable finally came back

Hey, my main color is the same so far, greetings:)

Those color combinations sound gorgeous!! I hope you post pictures of your finished projects :crown: I always struggle when I have to use black, just can't seem to find the places to insert my hook.

Everyones octogons are looking wonderful as usual!

This week's clue has provided new experiences for me--I had never used a magic ring and had never done anything remotely like a granny. I have also become quite good at reading the charts and actually prefer it to the written instructions since I am a visual learner. :)

I was actually able to complete this clue without taking a peek at the spoilers!! Yay me!!

Crochetqueen, I am using Birch White as my main color, too, and I think the color combination I am using will turn out just beautifully for our mountain home. I will post photos one of these days. . .
