I was right at 11 inches. I can see how blocking could be really important in this project. I've never blocked before...

I have two motifs to go and just shy of 2 skeins of MC left.... Hope I make it! :scared: Still thinking of ordering one more skein of MC for back up! :idonno: If I don't use it- it can go in my stash in the basement. Back to crocheting and get the final two motifs done. :knit:

I'm always nervous that I'm going to run out, so I ordered an extra skein of each color at the beginning - not sure what I'm going to do with extra skein of each yarn, but I'm sure  that I can figure something to do with it!

Throw pillows to match the afghan maybe?

That was exactly my thinking, ladycath. I ordered a extra skein of each and figured if I had enough left I'd use it for a throw pillow.

That's a really good idea! I still new to crochet (not to having a yarn stash, though!) and my thoughts hadn't gone beyond afghan, pillows would be kind of fun - like doing some of the afghan motifs in a bunch of colors and putting them on a square form...

Add me to the list of people using Birch White as the MC. I am using all Waverly on this in the Simplicity line. My colors are Birch White, Aqua Frost, Greek Sea, Colonial Beige and Bark. They all blend so well and very soothing colors. I am quite pleased with this CAL afghan so far. Can't wait to see it finished!
