Baby Lash Blanket

Postby midlandgal » Wed Feb 29, 2012 10:04 pm

:helpme: I downloaded the Baby lash Blanket pattern last week, and started the blanket. Now that I am ready to finish it, the pattern has disappeared from the website. Does anyone have this pattern in their stash???
Help!! I need this blanket for a shower this weekend.

Your best bet would be to contact Bernat at inquire@bernat.com.
They might still have the pattern in their files.
They could access it much quicker than we could.

Good luck!

Here are patterns for one that is knit, one in crochet. Are either of these that pattern? Don't know if you are knitting or crocheting.

Thank you, Shandeh! I did find a lady in Texas who had the yarn in her Stash on Ravelry and was kind enough to sell her skeins to me. Surely glad that I found this site and your assistance!

Equivalent Bernat Yarn

Postby GrammyCarole » Sat Mar 17, 2012 8:39 pm

I have a crochet afghan pattern I plan on stitching. It calls for Lion Brand Silky Twist yarn. I'd really rather use Bernat. Does Bernat have an equivalent yarn I can substitute?

I am not familiar wth that particular yarn.

Whenever you change to a different yarn, you need to know a lot about the original yarn.

What gauge does it knit to?
What size needles does it call for?
What kind of fiber is it? Acrylic? Polyester?
Is it a sturdy yarn? Soft? Slippery?

All of those things are important, because the pattern was designed with those characteristics in mind.

Discontinued Bernat Yarns

Postby Shandeh » Sat Apr 14, 2012 11:04 pm

Sometimes Bernat will discontinue a yarn, so let's help each other when using them. We can figure out good patterns for them, and offer advice from our experience with the yarns.
