If you are looking up scrubbing balls you may never find it, this is a cotton ball, or make-up remover puff. Not used for scrubbing, but for removing eye make-up. Nice and soft and gentle on the delicate eye area and washable to help the environment. They may stain horribly but they do come out clean to use another day. I made a whole bunch one time and gave them away as Christmas gifts along with a bottle of Avon's eye make-up remover, the best remover in the whole world that is also affordable
Check ravelery out and search there for this cotton ball.
I have also made scrubbies, but I modified the patterns I did find

I sell Mary Kay and think I will make some of these to give with our make-up remover. They probably work up pretty fast, too.

Here are some of my dishcloths. Planning on giving them to my mother for Mother's Day.

I'm thinking of making a Mosaic Flower Dishcloth, like I made for the Bernat Blog a couple years ago. I really like that design.

The pattern is in Bernat's Kitchen Kolors pattern book.

I made one for a friend as well, using Panthers football colors.

He just loved it, and uses it all the time. It's always on his sink when I visit. :cloud9:
I think I'll make him another one.

I'm loving it! :inlove:
Maybe you can go through with a strand of cotton on a yarn needle, and sew those openings a little tighter.

I will give that a try. There was also a post about a way to do rounds without chaining first. Might try that for my next ones...seems like a cleaner method.

Heading to Charlotte this weekend. What is your favorite LYS there?

Coming to my neck of the woods, eh? :) We should meet for coffee.

There are several very nice yarn shops in the Charlotte area.

Charlotte Yarn - great selection, nice part of town.

Yarnhouse - interesting yarns, in an artsy modern area called "NoDa". you'll find lots of fun, energetic (sometimes eccentric) people walking along the streets there.

Cottage Yarn - great selection, friendly staff, in a small quiet town called Mint Hill, just outside of Charlotte. (my cousin Sara owns this place. she's awesome.)

There are other shops as well, but those are my favorites. (Cottage Yarn is where I usually go to buy fancy yarn, because it's closest to where I live, and my cousin owns the place!) ;)

Thanks for the info. I am going to be in town for a Mary Kay conference but am hoping I can get away to visit a shop or two. I will keep Cottage Yarn in mind, especially with the glowing recommendation :)

My brother is a police officer in Charlotte now so I am hoping to get there more often. :D
