I am also glad to see the correction made for those yet to do it. I had gone done a needle size and knitted tighter to get them the right size. I have three left to do and will just cont to do them as I have been. Think I am going to go find the post about where to do the increases to keep me from getting holes when doing less stitches and print it off in case I make one again or a friend wants to do it.

Happy to see a correction for all of us. :notworthy: I was on square #2 for Clue 3 when I first saw posts about the large squares, so I went back and measured my 1st one, which was 10.5" I stopped #2 at 47 stitches and it worked. Then after a few days I was able to bring myself to unraveling the 1st one. (My cat enjoyed the unraveling and played with the yarn for hours.) Today I log in just to see what others were up to and I find a correction!!! So happy I was so far behind and can take advantage of this for the next 6 squares. Lessons I learned are: 1. keep a watch on my knitting gauge and the big picture instead of just keeping my head down and focusing on one stitch at a time, :knit: 2. it's fun to keep the outcome of the clue a mystery until the first square is completed...but always check the blog posts (not just on new clue days) and posted photos to see what problems others are having and to see if I got it right before knitting several more.
Finding a correction is almost better than a new clue....perhaps we should have another catch up week just to correct the 8 squares in Clue #3

Bravo on making the correction! I had only done one square and moved on, figuring I would deal with it later. But here is my question now.......with the new correction, should I use the needle size (8) that gave me the right gauge for all the other clues?

I have knitted all my squares for clue 3, now tonight I see there are corrections to the clue. Do I have to pull them out? Worry

As long as the squares you knit measure 9.5" x 9.5" then no, you don't have to redo them. I think that the correction is just for the people who had trouble with tension/gauge.[/color]

I'd been skipping around so I've only completed one square in pattern 3 - but now I have a question...the corrected pattern says to knit 2 rows with C (after breaking E), inc 6 sts evenly over 2nd row.

Does that mean knit one row with C straight, and then inc 6 sts only over the second row? So inc 1, knit 8, inc 1, knit 8, inc 1, knit 8, inc 1, knit 8, inc1, knit8, inc1, knit1?

I was just about to complain that I need another week to catch up - I still have 1 of Clue 2 to finish - when I saw Clue 3 correction! So glad I am a slow knitter (and busy with other things) I can start Clue 3 tomorrow with the corrected instructions! but I sure hope there will be another catch up week...

Yes, that is one way to make 6 increases evenly over the second row. It should work fine.

No worries. I will be working on CAL and KAL blankets for some time to come. So, you won't be alone. :)
