I haven't gotten that email yet...couldn't find it on Bernat's site either...sounds interesting...

I didn't get the email yet either. And couldn't find the pattern on the website.
But I DID find the pattern here in the forum. Our forum members are in the KNOW!

Thank you for finding the pattern Shandeh! I finished all of my clue 5 motifs and am almost done with my Grand daughter's afghan so I am going to need something else to do! :D

I decided this week to do a third one also, up to clue 3 on it, which so far is my least favorite, figure I can catch up during one of the catch-up weeks.

15 weeks. There will be some catch-up weeks and week(s) for seaming. :)

We have one more set of octagons to make (according to the template we printed off the first week, then next week (7)(not tomorrow) will most likely be a catch up week, following week we will most likely learn the lay out and how to put it together (seaming), which will probably take up I would say 2 weeks (8 & 9), which brings us to week 10. then we have to add a border to the whole thing, maybe another two weeks for that (10 & 11).
Hmmm, I can't squeeze 15 weeks in there? Maybe we have way more down (catch up) weeks or we get to make a couple accessories? Plus isn't Easter in there somewhere? So maybe a full week off will surround Easter?

I have enjoyed looking at everyone's progress in the Spoiler's section and reading the posts in this section, and all I can say is "Great job everyone!" everyone should feel so proud of what they have accomplished.
I am looking forward to tomorrow's clue and hope it is another large motif pattern. I got my "planned" colors all mixed up with the a,b,c,d but that is all right. Tomorrow is also another sort of surprise for me in that I am doing a dog transport and two of the little puppies will be coming to me to foster. That will take most of the day, and I know they will take up a lot of my time after they get here but I love fostering puppies. So I am glad to have some much needed catch up time. Also I have a feeling seaming this together is going to be really, really, really, really slow going for me. I am glad that I am trying to get them blocked as I go because that seems to help so much with -YIKES- the word SEWING them together, but still it will still probably be tedious for me.

I am hoping to avoid "seaming" and use the main color to "crochet" them together making it a bit lacier I'm sure or maybe slip/seam them together using the back loops. I guess it depends on how they reveal the piecing of it!

I like those ideas much better than the thought of seaming. I try to stay away from projects that use seaming
I did challenge myself to do this so I could learn a good way to seam. I will have to see once it's revealed...

I was all caught up early last week for both of my CAL blankets, so I started a KAL with my stash yarn to make my mom a birthday blanket. Now I am behind in doing this weeks clue! Go figure! I am thinking since they look so easy I am going to get them in hear and there or maybe on one of our catch-up weeks for the CAL.

One thing I have learned about myself - Knitting takes me ALOT LONGER than crocheting!!! :knit:

All done with Clue 5, they all came out the same size!! The only problem is my clue 5s are a tiny bit bigger than the other octogans, hopefully that will be OK!!
