:hellogoodbye: Hey fellow knitters...I need help understanding some instructions for a project I am working on in between Clues. Any help would be appreciated! Here are the instructions (I have 66 sts on the needles now):

Row 8 *K2, yo, K1, P1*
Row 9 *K2, twist the yo and knit it in the front loop, K1, P1*
Row 10 *K1, yo, K3, P1*
Row 11 *K1, ktbl, K3, P1*

"Keep increasing this way (repeat row 8-11 with more and more sts between the increasing sts, until you have 117 sts)

I can't figure out how to do the increases

I know this isn't KAL related but while you are waiting for the next clue maybe you could look at this and help me figure out my mystery instructions?????? :hrmm:

The increases actually come from the yarn overs. To do this, take your yarn over your right needle from front to back, then knit the next stitch normally. This will create a little hole in your fabric for a nice lacy look. Hope this answers your question!

Thanks for replying! I do know that the yo's create the increases. I guess I wasn't very clear on that but my question is the section that states "with more and more sts between the increasing sts". Do I have to adjust the pattern repeats somehow for the following rows to allow for those increases? I am more of a row by row instruction kind of person so this one is a little vague for me.

Hmmm. What is the pattern you're working on. Maybe if it's on Ravelry and I can see a picture of the finished product I could help you more. It does seem like you're going to have to increase something in there. I'm just not sure if row 12 should go *k3, yo, k1, p1* or *k2, yo, k2, p1*.

Hi, it is on Ravelry. It is the Rosa Villosa hat pattern. After staring at the 8-11 row repeat I actually did see how some of the knit stitches would increase as the pattern progressed. I'm rewriting it now in Excel according to what I'm thinking it should be and will test it out tomorrow in scrap yarn before continuing what I have so far. It is such a darling little girl's hat and I found the perfect yarn. Sure hope I figured it out. Wish me luck! Please do take a peek and let me know if you have any thoughts. Thanks! :D

Did you get it figured out? I looked at the pattern, but couldn't see the yarn overs at all, and I didn't want to steer you the wrong way. Good luck!
