Don't fasten off after 1st rnd, you should be in the middle of a loop. This is how many doilies are patterned.
ch1, sc, in that dtr to begin next round.

Looking at the insructions for the 1st round, do you need to fasten off when done? It doesn't say that, but It looks like it on the diagram.

All help is appreciated!

Frances

I did not fasten off and all seems to be going well.

Just printed out the new clue; was hoping that it would only be using color B. I am starting my 4th skein of MC and still have clue 2 and clue 5 to finish; I think I am definitely going to run out. :tears: I am going to have to order it too, because my local yarn store doesn't carry the Waverly line of Bernat yarns.

My hat's off to your video people. I called myself an experienced knit/crochet person until I read "double treble", HA! In 30 odd years of crochet I've never seen or used that one. I never realized I was sticking to the easy, stuff I knew patterns and this CAL has been a great new stitch learner for me.

Your videos are sooooo very helpful. They are well made, the speaker is clear and goes nice and slow so it's very easy to see what she's doing. The camera is angled well and you can see every move she's making. The instructions are repeated slowly, several times which helps this old memory grab and hold on to what I've just learned.

Thank you! For new challenges and excellent help in learning them.

Also very disappointed that this is the last clue

She didn't say it was the last clue - she just said it is the last motif
I wonder what the other clues will be, hmmmm :hrmm:

Interesting! Can't wait to make one to see how it turns out. So glad we are finally using some more of color B. So behind in the KAL that I am now behind in the CAL. Well Spring Break comes in 2 weeks for me. Hope to catch up then. Back to Report Cards.

Help, I just reached for my contrast B color and realized that I used it instead of contrast C in clue #3. Do I rip up the clue 3 block that I did weeks ago, (I've only managed to get one done) and use B and C as I originaly intended. Or switch my B for my C. I can't decide what to do, your opinions would be very helpful.

Thanks

I would probably just switch B and C.

I did the same thing and just decided to switch my two. The only real colors I picked out for a specified place were the MC and the contrast D.

Well this is my first time using a forum and I have posted a few today.
What wanted to say is that I appreciate the diagram for the patterns, I have a problem with reading the written pattern but the diagram makes it easy to follow along and get the pattern correct.
Hope all the people that make patterns add this feature to them.
If there is a class or program that I could use to do my own to translate the other written ones that would be awesome.
thank you and now back to crocheting
