For those who have done one, did you crochet over the entire sc post, or did you actually put the stitches into the post itself and only pull up the first two pieces of yarn in the post or what?

Also! Make sure to do the chain 3 during the cluster! I forgot the first time round and boy was it way off!
And like Clue 1, this one will really need to be blocked to make it beautiful.

It looks very wonky for now. Don't think I skipped or made mistakes.
This one was a lot more fun to make, kept me thinking, unlike the last clue

HI! Very nice. So just wondering regarding your comment about "mistake in row 6"...do you think YOU made a mistake or do you think there is an error in the pattern? :hrmm:

I don't think there is a mistake I read it to mean slip stitch to the first sc you made the one with the first cluster in it. that's how I did it anyway

There is no slip stitch in 6th rnd, at least not in the written. I could not follow the chart at all this one. I just find it looks awkward when finished. And I just realized it was rnd 7 I was referring to, not 6, even in the chart it looks awkward. I may fiddle with it on my next motif. Here it is laid out about to be blocked;

I only have an iron, no fancy clothes steamer. Can I use a hair dryer? Using the iron right now is taking me forever and my shoulders cannot take the stress. Any tips?

I could not get the center to lay flat, so I ended up doing a ch 10 instead.

Here it is lightly pinned to shape. I have not been blocking and don't know if I will block these or not.

Wow! I love yours! I couldn't figure out the edge but yours looks so flowery! Mine looks awful in comparison!
Though, I would make the chain 11, I think the centre should look a bit more like mine, where the petals can open up a tidge. I am sure it isn't supposed to lay flat and straight. Then again, my petals are all wrong compared to yours so I could be wrong here too

Great pictures and thanks a bunch. Love the idea of using the foam type board for a blocking board. Is that what it is?

I agree they look nice with the petals opened up a bit, but mine just seemed to bunch up, not spread. I am using a cotton blend, so it will have a tendency to stretch out over time.

I just finished my first one on clue 6 and as usual, it was to small. I used a dc and dtr on the last rnd. I'm glad this one was too small using the I hook. :inlove: I love the thicker look on the last rnd. Only wish I could learn to get my pictures to post. O-well. Back to finishing clue 6. :knit:
