Yes, it is a foam type board. I have several and they fit together like a puzzle, so you can block larger pieces.

Wow! I love yours! I couldn't figure out the edge but yours looks so flowery! Mine looks awful in comparison!
Though, I would make the chain 11, I think the centre should look a bit more like mine, where the petals can open up a tidge. I am sure it isn't supposed to lay flat and straight. Then again, my petals are all wrong compared to yours so I could be wrong here too

I agree they look nice with the petals opened up a bit, but mine just seemed to bunch up, not spread. I am using a cotton blend, so it will have a tendency to stretch out over time.

I had to really fiddle with it to get the inside petals to lay nicely. I do really like the look of the centre so I think it is worth the fiddling around.
It is your blanket in the end, so you do what you like better! Never mind me!

For those who have done one, did you crochet over the entire sc post, or did you actually put the stitches into the post itself and only pull up the first two pieces of yarn in the post or what?

Tiffanna, I think I understand your question. The directions say to crochet in side, but it should read to crochet inside SC. So crochet like you normally would inside the SC.

Edit again. You will be going in from the side, because you're going backwards instead of forwards so to speak, so you're going fully inside the sc, but coming inside the stitch from the side. I hope that's not more confusing. I think you'll see it once you do one.

Here it is lightly pinned to shape. I have not been blocking and don't know if I will block these or not.
