Finally got around to printing, was surprised that this is our last motif, thought this was going to go on for a while longer. Still can't imagine how it might go together, really getting anxious to see how it all turns out. :knit:

I’m not done my first octagon yet, but I am LOVING this one! :inlove: It’s so exciting learning new stitches, and then seeing how it all comes together. :) Thank you Bernat, that is so fun! :notworthy:

How to make the cluster.

Edit:

Sorry, here's the correct link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzW77bU6pm8

Also, for those who asked, when it says crochet in side of SC, it should read crochet inside SC. So crochet in the SC like you normally would. :-)

Edit again. You will be going in from the side, because you're going backwards instead of forwards so to speak, so you're going fully inside the sc, but coming inside the stitch from the side. I hope that's not more confusing. I think you'll see it once you do one.

I turned the work 1/4 turn clock-wise, and then stitched into the two loops that were now on the top - just like you would normally do with the top of the single crochet. Err, this is hard to explain. Did I make any sense?

OK thanks, I'm on my tablet so that must be why. I'll get on my PC to correct it.

Thanks for the tip. :cooldude: I have to wait until lunchtime to start my motif and I would've most definitely gotten stuck trying to figure out how to crochet in to the side of a SC.
Happy knitting and crocheting!!

I actually crocheted into the side as stated
not sure if it made a difference or not on the finished motif
