We have now Four squares across measuring each 9.5" total 38" that means that the border should measure approx 7" to total 45" but we also have 6 squares lengthwise also 9.5"each that is total 57" m +7" for the border is 64". Or maybe the border will be 2" lenghtwise . My question is what is the final measure of the afghan??

P.S. I hope that this will not ruined the final mystery

It's my guess the border will be that big and that is why we still have 9 weeks left! Maybe we will take 2 weeks per side? and with Easter in there somewhere that will be an off week maybe, and now we have added up to 15 weeks eh!
This is just speculation people! I have no inside knowledge! Only wishful thinking

What I really meant is 7inches for the border but you have to divide for each side that is 3.5 inches on each sides

Oops!
Ya, I think to add up to the dimensions first given it will be 3.5". That is still a very long/wide border that could take extra time to knit each side.
Then again, maybe they have a small interior project we will also make using up our leftovers and time!

:hrmm: I was wondering the same thing last night. Too much time on my hands. ;) I figured that we would make a border with color A. Could be wrong. That is why this is a mystery. :hrmm:

When putting the squares together, is there a suggestion on which direction to lay the squares from Clue 2 (the shaker rib? Looking at clue 5(week 6), do you let the stripes go lengthwise? That is how I am doing it, but didn't know if anyone had expertise on which would look better. I hope I am clear on what I am asking.

At the very top of this week's clue it states "MEASUREMENTS
Approx 38" x 57" [96.5 x 144.5 cm]. so that would mean that the border will measure 3.5 inches for the top and bottom and only 1 inch for each side. Then the finished afghan will be 45 by 59. :)

Should all the remaining loose ends be woven in or will we need them for the border?

In your "browser", probably Internet Explorer, the one that opens up when you want to go to a web site, look at tan bar under the address bar. Find "tools" then internet options.. "General" is the first tab, second thing down is "browsing history", click delete, uncheck "favorites" if you use that, and passwords if you have them saved, anything else you want to save, ( you can usually just fill them in again if you delete) then click delete at the bottom
I know it sounds confusing

Wow! You all had a very busy day today! You filled up lots of pages with discussion, worries, encouragement, complaints, discouragement, excitement, and new ideas.

One of you mentioned that you would like to see some alternate ideas for seaming.

This page I'm referring you to is a crochet website, and has several options for seaming squares together:
