I can SO totally relate here! I went wild with the Fab Faux yarn to make 11 scarves as Christmas gifts and then saw some of the cute Christmas decoration ideas, so got some Christmas yarn. Then some of the Really Big. The scarves are done and out of the house, but the Christmas and other stuff is still hanging about, as in January the KAL was announced, and then I ordered the Waverly yarn online. Then I read on the forum that some people were finding it at some stores that I have locally. When my box came I loved it right away so went out and got more (!) to make accent pieces to coordinate with my afghan when it's completed. (Thank goodness I'm getting that knit up!!) But when I did that, I saw the Jessie knit or knot, and got 4 colours of that! (One of those is done already, though). Since then, the Colorama, Mosaic and Satin (from the 2010 KAL) have caught my eye. And of course in February all the season-end sales were on, so I ordered two batches of French luxury yarn to make sweaters for my husband and myself for next fall, and then found some mohair for only .99 a skein, and got that in 2 colours...... My husband has gone to Canadian Tire twice to get me stacking plastic organizers with drawers. It's clear plastic so I can see the yarn colours easily. But now they are full and I have to stop and make up all these projects! The good thing is that I can say that I have 2012 Christmas planned and under control! ;-)

I have finished the first 4 weeks of clues. I am having so much fun with this. I will spend tonight blocking. I am totally going to try the steam blocking!

I in love with Waverly Yarn so I picked up Mauve Glow and Fresh Flower for an afghan to make for my daughter. Don't have a pattern but I have some of the wool.

I am going to pick out colours for the CAL and I am also going to go back and do the previous KAL.

Bernat you have created a monster. :knit: At least my DH is supportive of this :)

Don't lose heart! Just work at a comfortable pace, and ENJOY the project. Stress will ruin the experience.

Toothpicks might work, if the surface underneath will work with them.

Then went shopping again with my sister, stopped by the yarn department and found the pattern for the HOBO BAG, and had to buy some Handicrafter Cotton to make that. 3/4's done that.....I have decided that in order to get caught up with the KAL, I can not allow myself any more trips to the store. Gosh, I'm like that with Bernat yarns! I go to the website and see the new ones, and HAVE to try them!

Thanks!

I found the pattern for my Daughter's afghan

I am going to do it with Mauve Glow, Fresh Flower and Sundrift. I have never worked with Circular needles. So it will be another great challenge for me.
