Oh my! :bravo: If you have E and C for Clue 3 and it is working well then I'm just gonna roll with it for now. If I really don't like it with the navy squares then I can make an adjustment from there.

I'm not a blue girl, but the person I'm going to gift the afgan to when I'm finished has two colors in her entire apartment. White and blue. It is just a little splash of blue. Two pillows in the living room and a quilt she made are all the blue. Oh and a blue vase. LOL so I figured I'd go with all the blues and it would be a safe bet. Just another one of those opportunities to learn by doing I suppose

Time to get back to it :knit: :knit: :knit:

Thanks for the words of encouragement and advice!!

Aloha! :hellogoodbye: I used to be a very blue girl until I started to like red..... Here is a lap quilt that I cross- stitched a few years ago. My mum quilted it for me. She even found blue and white cherry fabric to match for the backing! I don't know how she does it. Sometimes she will wait years to finish something until just the right fabric comes along.

I'm sure your friend will love all the blues in her afghan!

I've finished knitting all the squares. They came out beautifully.I struggled most with Clue#3.
So, i hope that the correction doesn't include perfect squares....
In other words, Do i have to undo them if they are ok? :idonno:

If they're fine then there's no reason to undo them :) This correction is for people who struggled to get the right gauge.

Will this correction make a big difference in the final afghan??? I have all but on square done and I don't want to remake my other 7.

Hmm....my problem with Clue #3 was just getting the pattern stitch to look right. I tried a couple of times and then set it aside for the past week or so. Got it out yesterday and I not only got one block finished but I got 2 blocks finished! The pattern I used didn't contain the correction and it came out the same size as my other blocks. So I will continue making the other six the same way. I think my main issue was fatigue and losing faith in my color selection. But I kept trying and I urge anyone else to keep on trying! Now I am very pleased with the colors!

I know how you feel! I lost faith in my colour selection too!!!! Then once I had made a clue four square and once I saw the layouts, my faith is restored :cloud9:
Actually in my case the colours were picked based on what I could get and I was unsure from the get go. Now I am quite pleased :crown:

I just wish the Correction had been noted at the top of the first page of the KAL. Not just on the Clue 3 page. Those of us who do not go to the individual clue pages on a regular basis should still be alerted to corrections and the reason for them. The corrected clue can be on the clue page, but the fact that there is a correction should be where everyone will see it.
Knitting for others makes the world a better place.

I knit 3 squares using a smaller needle. I want to use the correction but am scared that it won't match the first three. Aaaaargh what to do. I am still not happy with look of the three I have redone. The first color ( E ) still looks bulky compared to the other color.

And I completely agree with the losing faith with color selection! I am still not sure about mine yet.

Arrrggghh. Frustration. My clue 3s are definitely larger than my other ones, but I hesitate to take them out all the way back to over halfway, and then try to get the stitches back on the needle again.

But, that's probably what I'll do.

I tried that and although I got it all back on the needle it did leave a ridge where I picked up. Fortunately it is very close to the color change so I just left it. I think of it as a "design feature". I will probably place the block near an edge where it is less seen.
