I'm off for a quick walk before the next clue comes up. I enjoy seeing pics of everyone's work and learning new ideas that you all have shared, thanks!

also in NE ohio, and about to head out to clean up the yards so I can mow. wth?? warm weather means far MORE work, which is frustrating, cuz I haven't gotten my house work done. :idonno:

I'm East of Alliance. Where are you located, Patty? if you already responded and I missed it...sorry. :) I have a local crochet group you might be interested in, depending how far away from me you are. We meet here in Alliance, every 2 weeks. Hazel - same question for you. If you're interested, drop me a private message.

As for catchup weeks...yeah I'm not looking forward to those either. I generally finish the clue on Thursday, once in a while on Friday. I've finished an entire blanket in the last 10 days (well, almost finished...i have to do the border, but I ran out of yarn), and I'm about to start another one. Oh well...with spring hitting hard, and my huge amounts of gardens waiting to be cleaned out, I guess that's a good thing!

I found clue#5 was the most challenging for me. Not sure why. But I really love the Waverly yarn line! Quite please with the texture and it shows the stitches well! Anxious to start Clue 6 but alas I have to wait until the work day is done. Grumble Grumble! LOL!

heyheycrochet--just wanted to let you know I finally got a couple of clue 5 finished. Thanks again for the info on the hook size--I did rounds 1-4 with the H and then the rest with a G and it worked out great. I am determined to complete clue 5 before beginning 6--looking forward to a boring evening of MC!!!!

Glad it worked out! FYI on Clue 6 - my H hook worked for the whole motif :)

Yipee!!!!!! Finally finished clue 5

My clues 1, 2, and 3 were not large enough and I was going to just leave them as they were because I didn't have a larger hook. Found a bigger hook, so I felt I had to go back and do them the right size. (I tend to have a tight tension) Just now finished them - Yeah!!

Now on to clue 6. . .tomorrow :P

Thanks--that is the one I will use. I still have two to go from clue 5, but we will be staying home all weekend so I should be able to catch up on this.

Didn't have any :tears: Lovely daughter then told me that we got it at a different store and the reason I only bought 4 was because I bought all the store had. "Unfortunately" I bought more yarn, this time to do the 2010 CAL and once again I bought the store out of the color I loved.

Oh dear! I hope you are able to find more of your color.

So far no luck in finding MC. :hrmm: Tried 2 stores yesterday and found the spot where is is supposed to be but it was empty. Have 2 more stores on the list to try tonight. I have a couple ideas on how to solve my problem.
1. make an extra clue 6 with color B and try a totally different color for assembly in place of MC.
OR 2. Finish with another color for an interesting effect.

But I did find the skein I was missing for the 2010 CAL.

But before I do any more crocheting, I must sew elastics and ribbons on pointe shoes. :cloud9:
