Impatiently waiting for this weeks clue. I'm afraid it might be a catch up week. Probably a good thing because I should be hiding all the ends of yarn.

uh...you mean I'm supposed to do that BEFORE we finish all these??

btw, I saw someone mention somewhere that the total CAL was 15 weeks long. I've hunted thru as much as I have the patience for, and I haven't seen anything about that...obviously there are 8 "clues" (since the signature badge has 8 sections), so I'd assumed 8 weeks.

Can i find out how long this is set to last, when we get to start joining? If we're not supposed to know that yet, that's fine...but I was curious. It would also be helpful if this was all listed on the "one stop reference" page, or general description page.

thanx!

I can't remember where it was originally posted, but Kaleigh and Jen are the ones who said it.
Our Mystery Blanket project lasts for 15 weeks, and we are now in week 5, so there are still 10 weeks left. :)

Are there any colors that we won't be using anymore of? I would love to declutter the bag that I am using for this and only keep in the colors that we will still be using. Thanks :)

Hold onto them, because we still have to do the border.

CROCHET ALONG

Postby EVANGELIST » Fri Mar 23, 2012 8:21 am

Hi a couple of us ladies did last years blanket and it created such team building and joy. We are all therefore very distressed to see that this years blanket is way to hard and to be honest looks as though it is just a combination of various doilies being put together.

My mum is doing the KAL and that also looks good.

Wool in South Africa is very expensive so you can imagine that our disappointment is even greater.

We were told before beginning it that it would be very feminine. Which translates to lacy and flowery.
We were also told the KAL would be more appropriate for a male if desired.

Yes, the Bernat people did say this would be feminine design.
Each clue really is not that difficult. Each clue has written instructions and a chart, and some have videos too. If you are still having a problem with a particular stitch you should post the problem and ask your questions here, I am sure there are many people that would be more than glad to help you figure it out.

Not sure where the best place to post this, but as a suggestion for the next mystery CAL, I would love a join-as- you-go style afghan. Since joining motifs seems like such a chore for so many of us, I thought the join-as-you-go would be a great alternative :) Just sayin..
