I'm doing the CAL and can't knit a stitch
But all I can say is
WOW!!!! :bravo:

Thanks kathieh. I crochet too but chose the KAL because I've been doing more knitting lately. I'm really impressed with the Waverly yarn and will definitely choose it for any machine wash and dry projects in the future. I'll have to peek at the CAL photos to see if I would like to make that afghan too. Sure couldn't handle doing both like some of our talented crafters. Good luck with the CAL! :)

Like the final layout. Debating where to put the Clue 2 ribs. You've got them in the corners, and I think the rib squares look balanced that way, as the 4 other half-ribs are in the middle.

Thank you K1P1quebec. I stayed up way too late last night to finish the sewing. Once you get started it is hard to stop. Now I have plenty of time to work on my other project before Wednesday's new Clue. :D

Marilyn58,
I love it! That was one of my layouts also...... but for some reason the brown (same as yours for border) just did not look as good in mine as it does in yours! So far I just don't see a layout that I don't like! :)

I love it! The layout I thought I was going to use was like this but someone commented about having one color on the ends only so I changed it. I'm wishing now I'd stood my ground. I like the ring around the center. I'm sewing together my last strip then will sew the 4 strips together. I'm surprised how fast it goes.

Trudi, that's the neat thing about the KAl there are so many options for laying out the pattern and they all look great. I'll be watching for yours! :)

You're right, the sewing actually went pretty fast which surprised me. I'm really anxious to see yours and all the other afghans on display soon. :)

Thanks for the suggestions, lialab. I found some projects laying around that I hadn't finished back in February when this whole thing started. I am working on finishing those. I have gotten in a knitting mood, even though it has gotten hot here in Kentucky. It is cooling down, so maybe that is why I got the fever to knit.
